This Privacy Policy describes how PlayLogicals handles information when you use the app.

Before publishing: This draft reflects the planned product. Statements about implemented SDKs, server logs, and retention periods must be verified against the released app and Cloudflare configuration.

1. Overview

PlayLogicals offers a library of digital logic puzzle books. The app retrieves an online catalog, downloads selected book packages, and lets you read installed books offline. No separate PlayLogicals user account is required.

Under the current product plan, PlayLogicals does not use advertising SDKs, behavioral advertising, or first-party analytics/tracking SDKs. If this changes, we will update this policy and the relevant Google Play declarations.

2. Online Catalog and Network Data

To display the catalog, book details and covers, or download books, the app communicates using HTTPS with https://api.playlogicals.com, hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure.

Network requests may involve technical information such as IP address, request time, requested endpoint, and connection or security information. This information is used to provide the service, maintain its availability and security, and prevent abuse, including enforcing request limits.

Verify before release: Which information Cloudflare actually logs, how long it is retained, and the applicable legal basis under relevant privacy law, including the GDPR where applicable.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

PlayLogicals stores downloaded book packages, book metadata and cover images, app preferences, selected app/book language, and reading progress locally on your device. Reading progress may include the last opened page or solution step.

This information is not intended to be synchronized to a PlayLogicals account. Downloaded books can be used without a continuous internet connection.

Depending on your Android settings, some app data may be included in operating-system backups. Verify before release: Which app files are excluded from Android backups.

4. Free Downloads and In-App Purchases

The free demo can be downloaded without registration. The app requests a short-lived download URL from our Cloudflare service and then downloads the book package. These URLs are intended for controlled delivery of private files and should not be permanently stored or shared.

Additional books may later be offered as non-consumable, one-time purchases through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment under its own terms. PlayLogicals does not receive full payment card or bank account details.

To authorize paid downloads, we plan to verify purchases on the server. This may involve processing a product identifier, purchase token, and purchase status between the app, our backend, and Google Play services as necessary to confirm purchase entitlements. Server-side purchase verification is not yet in production as of this policy date. This section will be checked and updated against the actual implementation before paid purchases are enabled.

5. Service Providers and International Processing

We use Cloudflare for content delivery, infrastructure, and service security. We use Google Play for app distribution and, when enabled, purchase processing. These providers may process technical connection data and, when purchases are enabled, purchase-related information.

Depending on the provider and configuration, processing outside the European Economic Area may take place. Verify before release: Relevant data-processing agreements, international transfers, and applicable safeguards.

We do not sell users’ personal data.

6. Permissions and Security

The app requires an internet connection for its online features. Downloaded books are intended to be stored in app-internal storage. Connections between the app and our backend use HTTPS.

Under the planned feature set, PlayLogicals does not need access to contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, or health data. Verify the final permissions against the Android manifest and integrated SDKs before publishing.

7. Retention and Deletion

Locally stored books, preferences, and reading progress remain on the device until removed through an app function (if available), by clearing app data, or by uninstalling the app, subject to any operating-system backups.

Because PlayLogicals does not provide user accounts, there is currently no PlayLogicals account to delete. Google may separately retain Google Play purchase information under its own policies.

Complete before publishing: Retention periods for technical Cloudflare logs and, if purchases are introduced, any purchase-verification records stored by our backend.

8. Children’s Privacy

PlayLogicals is currently intended for adults and is not specifically designed for children. We do not intend to knowingly collect children’s personal information. The audience declared in Google Play must match the final app.

9. Your Rights

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, as well as a right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

We may update this policy when our features, providers, or data practices change. The current version will be made accessible on the official privacy policy page and within the app.
